Vadodara. The first 22nd Parallel opens. In February 2011, two first-generation restaurateurs set out to create the kind of South Indian restaurant they themselves wanted to visit: good food, uncompromising cleanliness, warm service and prices that made it possible to return often. Vadodara gave that dream its first home — and gave the restaurant its name, after the latitude that embraces the city.

22nd Parallel began its journey in 2011 with the opening of its first restaurant, rooted in a passion for showcasing the rich and diverse flavors of South Indian cuisine. What started as a single outlet quickly gained recognition for its authenticity, consistency, and thoughtfully crafted menu—laying the foundation for a brand that blends traditional recipes with a contemporary dining experience.
